Educational Opportunities
One of the main goals of Home Support Nova Scotia Association (HSNSA) is to provide on-going educational opportunities within the continuing care sector.
By working with industry partners to meet specific training needs identified in the sector, HSNSA has developed educational resources to assist those interested in pursuing their professional growth.
HSNSA has created Self-Directed Learning Modules that have been utilized by individuals and delivered through sector partners to further their training. The modules currently developed are for the following programs:
- Self-Directed Learning for CCA Equivalency
- Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition (PLAR) for CCA Equivalency.
- Self-Directed Learning for Basic Pediatrics
The Association has also developed and facilitated independent workshops based on member and sector needs. The availability of these workshops vary depending on changes in the sector.
