Self-Directed Learning for Basic Pediatrics
The Continuing Care Assistant Course (CCA) was expanded in September 2005 to include a Basic Pediatric Module. In response to this program change, Home Support Nova Scotia Association (HSNSA) developed the Basic Pediatric Module in a Self-Directed Learning format.
This would allow those who have already acquired their CCA, PCW, HSW or HHP designations to access the knowledge, skills and competencies related to this new module. The Basic Pediatric Module prepares individuals with a foundational level of information required to work with a pediatric population.
